Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the launch of the Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026, inviting applications from startups to participate in a six-month innovation program focused on developing advanced mobility solutions.
The Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026 aims to collaborate with startups working on cutting-edge technologies across electrification, new mobility, connectivity, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), AI-driven tools, and next-generation vehicle technologies.
The initiative is backed by Hyundai Motor Group’s global open innovation platform, ZER01NE.

Startups interested in participating in the Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026 can submit their applications until the end of June 2026 through a dedicated website managed by LINK Innovation, a global startup consulting and accelerator platform.
The application platform identifies 15 focus areas under the Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026.
However, HMIL has also encouraged startups to submit innovative concepts capable of delivering impactful solutions, even if they fall outside the predefined focus areas.
Applications received under the Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026 will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the application period. The initial screening process will assess submissions based on multiple evaluation parameters.
Shortlisted startups will undergo a detailed review of their technology capabilities and product readiness. This will be followed by a final pitch presentation before HMIL’s senior leadership team.
Through the Hyundai Innovation Challenge 2026, selected startups will gain access to co-development opportunities, including Proof-of-Concept (PoC) grants, mentorship from HMIL experts, and potential exposure to Hyundai’s customer ecosystem.
The program also provides pathways for future investment opportunities and long-term strategic partnerships, enabling startups to accelerate innovation and contribute to the evolution of smarter and more sustainable mobility solutions.
